Nita Wrap Skirt

The Nita Skirt is a new pattern by Sew DIY. I was so happy to be one of the pattern testers. The Nita skirt is a lovely fitted wrap skirt, it has three length options each with different kind of waist closure.

I choose to make my skirt just below the knee with the button closure. I enjoyed making this skirt, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. For fabric I choose a kind of medium weight cotton blend from Joann's, I made french side seams because this fabric frays like crazy.

I really want to make another one with a blue denim fabric and different waist closure. :)
Check Sew DIY Blog for more awesome patterns here.

Market Bag

I bought The Handmade Style Book, from Anna at Noodlehead I've been following her blog for many years now.  Love her patterns and I really want to make every project in this book. :)

For my first project I choose the market bag, I used this fabric from Kaufman is a blend of cotton and linen, for the stripes I used fabric scraps from my stash, the leather handles are from Joann.

I get a lot of compliments on my new bag! Do you like it? Get Anna's book here

ESP Dresss

I recently took a sewing class at StoneMountain and Daughter and made this ESP dress from Decades of Style Company. If you are into vintage inspired patterns I definitely recommend this pattern dress. I bought this nice Gertie fabric at Joann, on sale :) I think was 60% off per yard. Yay!! Anyway I really enjoy making this dress, and will make it again I need more dresses in my closet. ;).

Check @ Decades of Style love that they are a local pattern company, from here the Bay Area.

Scalloped Fabric Buckets

Made a couple of fabric buckets for my desk, found this tutorial helpful I just added the scalloped edge check this tutorial here. Sewing scallops is tricky, and it takes some time so sew through those curves. I drafted my own scallops on a cereal box then trace them to the top edge of my buckets. They look soo cute on my desk!!

Here's a list of more fabric bucket tutorials in case you want to make your own:)
